Happy 15th Birthday Ralphie! It’s hard to believe you are 15 because you look darn good for your age! During your years you’ve gone through 2 moves, welcomed and licked 3 baby brothers that turned into wild, running boys that you try to stay clear of, endured 1 disc surgery and 2 laser eye procedures to remove growths. You still run wild every now and then but you are normally pretty low key. You prefer burrowing in your bed and sleeping all day. You like short walks and warm weather. You shiver when it gets below 60 and need to wear a sweater indoors.
I’ve been calculating Ralphie’s dog age at 7 years times his # of years, which would make him 105 years old, but realize that’s not really accurate. For the first two years, a dog year is equal to 10.5 human years. After that, each dog year equals 4 human years. This calculation is based on studies that indicate dogs, except maybe larger breeds, develop more quickly in the first two years of life. I’m happy to report the above calculator stated Ralphie’s age is 76 years old so here’s hoping we have another few years left together! I’m curious-how old is your dog/doxie and/or how long did they live?
