It’s Labor Day weekend in Cleveland and while that may mean cookouts and picnics for some, it means the annual Wiener Dog Races for Dachshund lovers. We’ve taken our piebald Dachshund for the last 7 years to race. He even earned a prestigious trophy and ribbon for first place! Now that he is almost 15 years old and one of the oldest racing seniors, it’s harder to earn that title. It’s so fun to see all the different colors and sizes of these cute dogs! They race at the Cleveland Oktoberfest in Berea on the fairgrounds Saturday, Sunday and Monday. So check out these dogs giving their all while you drink beer and get some culture at this year’s Oktoberfest!
